The board
The foundation’s board consists of three members. The current board of Stichting De Kwekerij consists of chair D.M. Trommel, secretary K.C. Hobelman and treasurer G. Minderman.
Objective
The foundation’s objective is: to serve the public interest by supporting people in their development and contributing to an inclusive, connected and healthy society. With this, the foundation promotes social cohesion, mental health and well-being for all layers of the population, and performs everything related to this or that may be conducive to it.
Policy plan
The main points of our policy plan are:
- The foundation seeks to achieve its goal by creating meeting places where people engage in conversation about meaning and life questions, with attention to diversity and inclusivity. The foundation encourages the sharing of vulnerabilities and mutual aid, and organizes activities, conversations and programs that contribute to social engagement. Furthermore, the foundation performs everything that may be conducive in the broadest sense to achieving this objective.

Remuneration policy
Board members receive no remuneration for their activities.
They are, however, entitled to reimbursement of expenses incurred that are not excessive.
At this moment, the foundation has no employees on the payroll. We work with a dedicated team of volunteers and occasionally with independent contractors (freelancers). In the coming policy period, we do not rule out hiring paid staff on a limited scale—in addition to the volunteer team—to ensure the continuity and quality of our work.
Work is mainly done with volunteers, who sometimes receive a volunteer allowance or expense reimbursement.
Compensation policy
To meet the legal requirements asked of organizations with ANBI status, we like to be transparent about our methods. For external facilitators or trainers hired on a freelance basis, we use fixed guidelines for fair compensation. For occasional workshops, a standard fee of approximately €75 per session applies. For longer-term trajectories or project-based support, we use a rate of approximately €35 per hour. These rates align with what is customary in the non-profit sector and are adjusted where necessary based on experience, duration and content of the assignment.
Financial accountability
The foundation’s financial year runs from January 1st to December 31st of the same year. At the end of each financial year, the foundation’s books are closed. From this, the treasurer prepares a balance sheet and a statement of income and expenditure for the ended financial year.
ANBI publication requirement
In compliance with the ANBI publication requirement, Stichting De Kwekerij hereby publishes its annual accounts and the associated standard form for the 2025 financial year, in which the financial accountability and the realization of our social objectives are transparently presented.
