Bloom Class

What can you expect?

On your way to adulthood, you (un)consciously carry all kinds of things with you from home. For a long time, your parent(s) and/or caregiver(s) set the rules of your life. They plant seeds that grow into beliefs, norms, and values. How do you look at what you’ve brought with you from home? How has your upbringing shaped you?

During the Blooming Class

We take a psychological and sociological look at how your upbringing has shaped you.

Icon - Waar gaan we naar opzoek?

What are we looking for?

What expectations did your parent(s) and/or caregiver(s) pass on to you in this regard? During this evening, you’ll take stock.

Icon - Met theorieën

With theories

According to sociologist Marlies Buchman, traditions within growing up are no longer as fixed as they used to be. First you went to school, then work, marriage, and living together; now it’s much more flexible.

Icon - In gesprek gaan

Engaging in conversation

During this Bloom Class, you’ll engage in conversation with others about what’s on your mind. No quick opinions, but honest conversations where you listen, ask questions, and gain new insights.

Icon - Wat neem je mee?

What do you take with you?

You’ll create a lifeline and reflect on how you got here, where you stand now, and how you’ll move forward. Put on your childhood shoes and splash in the puddles of your upbringing!

Our methods

In the blooming class, we work with a mix of personal stories, scientific theory, creative assignments, movement, and reflection. These methods invite openness, vulnerability, and playfulness, so you can grow at your own pace. What starts out as exciting for many participants soon feels valuable and connecting.
